OUCH!!!

So if you have been a follower of our blog TV, you likely know that one of us went ona little rant last week about resellers of Spell products. For the life of us, we cant figure out what some people--especially those who are close to us are thinking.

We have alwasy been generous in giving out product, any issue with one, gifts, replacing missing ones based soley on an email with no expectation that are customers should be hassled with returning unopened product or wrong colour etc!.

But we cannot believe what we are seeing, we have just watched Twitter etc and found more of our product for sale at less than half of our price!! OK, we get it, you want to sell it--we cant stop that but don't hack us so much that it actually hurts, esepcially if you've been purchasing at a huge discount. We'd only ever ask that you give us an opportunity to know whats coming. Its a sad day,. Are we being petty, some might think, but like eveytone else--we are just trying to survive as well, it just sucks ......

I love you guys but its something that just comes with the territory of selling makeup. I know that when someone has a blog sale or puts cosmetics on eBay, its going to hurt Spell more than it would hurt a big company like MAC, but there is no way of stopping it.

I'm in full support of you guys. You know exactly how I feel about this. PS: Gemma I have had drama that you are missing out on.. "hint..hint". Legalities are being thrown around even!

I specifically remember getting doubles of items that I ordered and Gemma's response was "Just give them away to your friends". Giving them away gives other a hint of what Spell has to offer, but isn't low balling the company for a profit.
Perhaps some people forgot.. The whole premise behind my name as "Shimmer Spell" is that I am the Sheriff. I'm a hammer when it comes to lewd trash talkers at BlogTV (though I have been MIA, my apologies), and my biggest pet peeve is when people take advantage of such a great company. We all know how generous Elle and Gemma are with orders from established customers. We all take advantage of the VIP sales numbers. We have most all received SOMETHING gratis from Spell Cosmetics, thats just who they are. Yes, they have probably budgeted these freebies into their accounts as pure loses, but the ones who really enjoy their products and come for more is how it equals out in the end.
The fact that someone would consider selling Spell Cosmetics for a profit is beyond me. I have yet to voice my opinion of it though have been generalized in the whole controversy. I cannot believe that someone would do this and it is disgraceful that its one of OUR girls. What's worse, is that she was caught in a lie, couldn't come up with answers, and then "quit". In my opinion she tied a noose around her neck as soon as she put them up for sale. I have nothing against her as a person, she has her great qualities and can do great reviews on make up as well. I have a problem with her characters integrity.
To close, I hope we never have to deal with this again. Really, no one should have ever heard about it. This is something that may or may not happen again, but I will resign if it is another one of OUR girls. It makes the Spell Girls Sorority look bad and makes us look cheap. For the record, this one incidence is a pure fluke and it has nothing to do with the rest of the girls in the Sorority. I am sorry it had to happen this way, but now that it has been addressed we need to move on.

wow - that does suck! I have been trying for two months now to get my Spell products (through no fault of Elle and Gemma - my mail just keeps not arriving) and would never dream of trying to get the products another way. I am so upset that my products haven't been arriving and that I have been costing Spell money with them sending out orders again that didn't arrive.

This makes me sad =( Elle and Gemma are such genuinely sweet and generous people and for someone to repay their kindness by basically slapping them in the face is just plain sad.
